Appeal from the editor

Peter Manson, editor of the Weekly Worker, welcomes the latest contributions to our legal fund

Donations to our legal appeal have now surpassed £3,000, thanks to a £200 cheque from TG. And there are more in the pipeline. SS, for example, has promised me £100 next week.

And I know of several comrades who are taking the appeal to their union branch, so we hope to see that total go up beyond the £3,150 we now have. If you want to do the same, please download the template letter and/or draft motion calling for support from our website. It is currently item number three on the carousel at the top of our home page.

If you want to make a personal donation, then you can do so in several ways. The easiest option is to make a payment using your online bank account: transfer your contribution directly to account number 00744310 (sort code: 30-99-64). Or you can click on the PayPal ‘Donate’ button on the website. In either case please do not forget to inform us as to the purpose of the donation

Finally, send cheques and postal orders, payable to ‘Weekly Worker’, to BCM Box 928, London WC1N 3XX.

For details of the legal dispute please see ‘Unreserved apology’ (Weekly Worker February 7). We will inform readers when the amount of the final settlement is agreed.
