Fighting fund

Linda Addison reports on the Weekly Worker fighting fund

Comrades in London have launched themselves into the struggle to win finance for the project of reforging the CPGB. This is after a slow start, so much catching up is needed to take us to our target. Comrades from the Weekly Worker raised £146 last week.

Other branches and party organisations need to report their weekly totals to the paper so we can report nationally on the progress of the summer offensive.

Money from branches outside London is still very deficient. We will be having a Summer Offensive half-way meeting on Sunday June 15. This will be an opportunity to discuss the tasks of the left in relationship to the SLP after the democracy conference of the previous day, and the more general tasks that face us in forging revolutionary organisation of the class.

It will also be a chance to win new forces to the CPGB’s 14th Summer Offensive. Branches need to build for this meeting to ensure a broad ranging discussion and a boost to what has so far been a rather sluggish Offensive.

Regular money is coming in from readers. Thanks this week to MR, AP, JM, TR, SW, LV and AN. But we still need much more to reach the target by the beginning of July.
