Turkish state conspiracy

The Platform for Rights and Freedom in Turkey has sent this report on the police conspiracy against the group’s spokesperson

Oya Gökbayrak, targeted by the police because of her fight in the front line for rights and freedom, has become the victim of a police conspiracy. Oya Gökbayrak, whom the Turkish state could not intimidate until now with torture, was arrested at 8.30pm on October 14 in Kucukar-mutlu, Istanbul. The police entered her house to arrest her under the pretext of drugs, something she has absolutely nothing to do with.

The conspiracy was so obvious they even brought two ‘journalists’ along who are known for their collaboration with the police. But the police played their role rather badly as soon as they entered the house. They did not even consider it necessary to search the house and those who were present. When the police entered the house, Oya Gökbayrak warned her friends, members of TIYAD Marmara (Association of Relatives), and said: “Be careful, my friends. This is a conspiracy by the political police.” How right she was. Yes, it was a conspiracy by the political police, in cooperation with the drugs department.

Those who could not silence Oya Gökbayrak try to smear her with their own moral decay and dirt to destroy the respect the public has for her. But they will not succeed. Oya Gökbayrak and the other TIYAD members protested against this conspiracy. Thereupon the police called for back-up and arrested her. This conspiracy against Oya Gökbayrak is a conspiracy against the struggle for rights and freedom.
