Bayram Sari is a 29-year old Kurdish man from Elbistan (southeast Turkey) who has been detained by the home office and is in Harmondsworth detention centre near Heathrow. He is threatened with deportation to Turkey on Friday March 14 at 2.15pm.
He faces, once again, persecution because he is known by the Turkish authorities to be a supporter of Kurdish liberation and self-determination. He fled from Elbistan after being arrested and tortured, which included the administering of electric shocks to his body and beatings. This was carried out by the Turkish army and secret services.
Despite this the home office is threatening to deport him. We need to stop such inhumanity.
