Up the rate

After the first nine days of September, we’re a little bit behind the going rate, when it comes to raising this month’s £2,750 fighting fund target. In contrast to the £296 that came our way in the first two days, we received only £366 over the next seven, taking the running total up to £662.

Thanks go to comrades AC (£100!), CG and DV (£30 each), RG (£25), IS (£17), RP and RD (£12), and SM (£10), who all paid by standing order or transfer to the Weekly Worker bank account. Then we had comrades TB (£95!), ST (£20), MH (£10) and JN (£5), who chipped in via PayPal.

But now we want to up the rate quite a bit - we need another £715 over the next week just to reach the halfway mark by September 16. A big ask, but I know that lots of our readers are more than willing to help us out. As subscriber JL wrote a couple of days ago, “Another brilliant paper - me and my partner can’t wait for it every week!” Hopefully they’re going to be able to afford to make their own donation “before we get to October”, he said. Let’s hope so!

But can you do your bit too? Go to the link below, where you’ll find all the details you need on how to make a donation. Please play your part and be as generous as you can - the Weekly Worker absolutely relies on our readers for both political and financial support!
