Keep it rolling in

Things are looking pretty good for this month’s fighting fund - especially after the last seven days, when no less than £1,047 came our way in donations!

It was especially helpful that no fewer than four comrades produced huge three-figure contributions - thanks very much to comrades LM, TB, SK and PM! Other bank transfers/standing orders came from comrades MM (£75), TR (£40), GB (£25), GD (£24), DR (£20), IS (£17), JL and AM (£10 each).

Then we had comrades KS (£50) and RD (£5), who made their donations via PayPal, and comrade PB, who handed a £10 note to one of our team. All that came to more than a grand in a single week, taking our running total for July up to £2,225! Don’t forget that the monthly target is £2,750, so surely we’re going to go shooting past it, seeing as there are eleven days still to go, as I write!

Well, let’s hope so - don’t forget there were two months earlier in the year when we were short of target, so an extra few hundred pounds over and above that £2,750 would be just what the doctor ordered! Can you help us out? Let’s not only go shooting past the target, but also break through that three-grand barrier! What a boost that would be for the Weekly Worker!

There are all sorts of ways you can donate, but the most efficient is via bank transfer (see below for our account details). For more information on the various ways you can play your part, please go to the web address you can see there too.

By the way, we have Communist University in central London over August 8-15. That means two more issues before our normal two week break (we will publish the finalised CU timetable in the August 6 edition). However, rest assured, we will be back with you on August 27. Meanwhile, keep the money rolling in.
