Katrina Haynes reports on the Weekly Worker fighting fund
The latest ‘scandal’ about Rupert Murdoch censoring his publisher Harper Collins is simply par for the course. It provides yet another example of the driving force behind the bourgeois media.
There are no heroic ambitions like truth or objectivity at the centre of the communications industry - only money.
The Weekly Worker on the other hand fights for openness. We not only publish features by members of other organisations, but also articles which are very critical of the CPGB. We are not afraid of open struggle: quite the opposite.
But we too are dependent on money - our readers’ money. We need £500 a month as a minimum to keep the Weekly Worker going. Help us to reach this target by sending us your money now.
Special thanks this week to LC (Manchester) for £25, NM from Glasgow who resubscribed and donated £30 and KN from Liverpool who gave us £40. Thanks also to PB from Swansea who sent us £3, RW from Carlisle who resubscribed and donated £5, NJ (Kent) for £5, and LM from London who sent us £10.
This month’s fund starts with an encouraging £118.
