Fighting fund
Linda Addison reports on the Weekly Worker fighting fund
Regular fund raising as readers of the Weekly Worker will know is essential to the paper. This year's Summer Offensive was ambitious and supporters of the CPGB worked intensively for two months to win support for Partyism and our tasks ahead in the coming year.
Nevertheless these tasks are no less ambitious than our SO target, and regular money is essential to ensure the production and development of the paper.
Readers will know that the Weekly Worker in this period makes a unique contribution to the debate around Partyism, not least in covering in detail events in the Socialist Labour Party, but also in including contributions from all different trends on the way forward for revolutionaries and the class.
Branches have been raising money for the paper continually after the SO, with Dundee collecting £40 this week through paper sales and a car boot sale.
More is needed and we are counting on all readers of the paper to help us get it. If you do not have any spare cash, you must have some spare consumer durables. Why not follow Dundee's example and organise your own car boot sale?
Send cheques in now to the Weekly Worker or better still, take out a standing order - write for details.
