We can do it
After last month’s failure to reach that much-needed £2,750 Weekly Worker fighting fund target, can we make up for lost ground in October?
Let’s hope so! The good news is, a rather handy number of comrades have chipped in over the first seven days of the month - 27 readers have raised a total of £599 between them. Best of the lot was comrade AC, who contributed a brilliant £100 - followed by LC and BO (£50 each), FK (£41), WC (£36), MM (£31), CG and RG (£30), II (£25), PR (£24), DL and MT (£20), CP (£16), AN (£15), MR (£13), RP and RD (£12), MM (£11), DI and SM (£10 each), KA (£8) and BG (£5).
All of the above contributed via bank transfer or standing order, while MH (£10), TM, JN and NL (£5) used PayPal. Finally that well known regular donor, comrade Hassan, handed his usual £5 note to one of the Weekly Worker team.
Not a bad start to the month - but we really need those donations to keep coming our way over the next three and a half weeks. Let’s make sure we not only reach that £2,750, but go shooting past it! Let’s aim for £3,000 to put us back on track. We absolutely rely on your support to make sure the Weekly Worker can keep playing its central role in the campaign for a genuinely democratic, mass Marxist party, able to bring together the most principled comrades from all the rival confessional sects.
So please make a transfer, click on that PayPal button on our website, send us a cheque or hand over some cash if you happen to know a CPGB comrade. We can do it!
