Robbie Rix is pleased to say March has started off reasonably well
Another success story. Once more we have made our £1,250 fighting fund target and this time it’s a brilliant donation of £120 from comrade AP we have to thank for it. He writes: “I’m not a CPGB member, but the paper has lively articles and represents a good open forum on the left.” Many thanks, comrade - for the kind words as well as the cash.
Comrade LR is pleased with a particular article - Hillel Ticktin’s review of Robert Service’s Trotsky - a biography. “If only it could be sold with the book!” he comments. LR contributed £10 via PayPal, while PP used the same medium to get his £5 “monthly pittance” to us. Don’t be so apologetic, comrade - it all adds up!
The last few days of February also saw web donations from MZ (£30) and WD (£10) - they were among 14,656 internet readers last week - while a fair number of standing orders were transferred into the Weekly Worker bank account before noon on March 1, including £50 from JT and £25 from DB. All that added up to a nice round £300, meaning we ended February £1,288 to the good.
And I am pleased to say March has started off reasonably well, thanks to the usual flurry of regular donations that land in our account at the beginning of the month. We have £125 already, so I am looking forward to raising the full £1,250 once more. After all, there are three more days in March compared to February!
