Linda Addison reports on the Weekly Worker fighting fund

At last we have the final figure for this year’s Summer Offensive fundraising drive. After a three week extension we have reached the magnificent total of £21,078.89. Well done comrades!

Although this is short of the £25,000 target it is an incredible achievement given the energy supporters have expended this year - in the Scottish Socialist Alliances and the SLP. Comrades have overcome illness and personal tragedy to fight for the finances to keep the Party on its feet and ready to meet the political demands of tomorrow.

This year’s Offensive witnessed increased levels of participation by Weekly Worker readers whose combined efforts boosted SO’97 by an impressive £5,000.

Thanks to all who took part. We still need more regular donations so contact us now about taking out a bankers order.
