Fighting fund
Linda Addison reports on the Weekly Worker fighting fund
May Day, the celebration of International Workers’ Day, this year marks the beginning of the CPGB’s 14th Summer Offensive - our annual fundraising drive.
Tony Blair will head the most rightwing Labour government ever. Despite that the left is marginalised. Consequently, the task for organised revolutionaries must be to reverse this marginalisation.
The Summer Offensive launch meeting in London on Saturday May 4 will discuss ‘Where now for the left’ and re-address communist rapprochement, how to overcome the sectarianism in our movement and how revolutionaries of differing views can organise together in the fight for Party.
We need the help of all supporters and readers of the Weekly Worker to make this year’s Offensive a success. To get it off to a good start we ask supporters and readers to join us in this discussion and to bring donations and make pledges for what you can raise over the next two months.
Winning the finance necessary to ensure we can continue to take the question of open debate and Party through the pages of the paper into the organised sections of our class is an essential part of our political work that is dynamised during the two months of our offensive.
