Don’t delay!

Following the excellent total that was added to our fighting fund in the previous week, the last seven days have been rather disappointing, to put it mildly.

Whereas a week ago I reported that no less than £759 had been added to the Weekly Worker fund, this week we received only £288. That’s not to say that we don’t appreciate the donations that came our way. Topping the list is the £70 from JC - a comrade who always does his best to help when we seem to be heading for something below our monthly target - and there were also bank transfers, including standing orders, from GT (£35), JT (£25), DG (£20), OG (£14), TT (£6) and DS (£5).

On top of that, there were two very useful, regular PayPal gifts from DB (£50) and SB (£20), plus an £8 cheque from IR, while comrades Hassan (£15) and LM (£20) handed over their usual cash donations. But all that took our running total up to only £1,832, while the monthly target is £2,250!

In other words, we need another £418 in just two days (as I write). But it can be done - so long as you act as soon as you read this! Please click on the PayPal button on our website (weeklyworker.co.uk/worker/donate, where you can also make your contribution by credit or debit card). Or, better still, make a bank transfer to ‘Weekly Worker’ (sort code 30-99-64; account number 00744310).

Please help us reach that very necessary target - but don’t delay! The last day of the month, Friday March 31, is very close indeed, and that’s when you have to get it to us by!
