Number one priority

Summer Offensive ’96

We have now received £9,831 towards our Summer Offensive fundraising target of £25,000. We know that many events are planned for the final weeks of the campaign, but it would be foolish in the extreme to rely on their success for a last minute burst.

Let me remind those supporters and sympathisers who have still not made a pledge: there are now less than three weeks to put your cheque or postal order in the post. We know you intend to do it, but there’s no time like the present. From now until the end of June fundraising is our number one priority. If you want to play your part in reforging the Communist Party our working class so desperately needs, make it your priority too.

We have ambitious plans to expand our communist work which requires extra office and printshop equipment. We need to make the Weekly Worker bigger and better and capable of reaching out to thousands more workers. We must prepare now for the general election campaign.

All this means hard cash. So don’t stand and cheer from the sidelines. Send in your donation today.

A special meeting in London last weekend saw our total pledges raised to £20,934. We need you to help make up that £4,000 deficit - and more.

Special thanks this week to JS in Belfast (£35) and a double bonus - £50 each from KT in London and BL in Swansea.
