Canadian SWP faces continuing crisis

We expect SWP members will not feel able to respond to this post from the Internet. Nevertheless they might find the information interesting

A SOURCE who wishes to remain anonymous has told me that the crisis in the International Socialist appears to be quite serious. Their presence around the Ottawa left has been fairly substantial, but now virtually the entire branch has apparently been expelled. Furthermore, if my source is accurate, Dr David McNally, a founding member of the organisation and someone who has played a leading role, has quit and is launching a new paper, New Socialist. Literally dozens of others have apparently quit or are considering quitting.

I have no idea of the situation in the USA, but in Canada it appears there is a major split along the lines of what happened in Australia.
